Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between 12-hour and 24-hour format?
12-hour format uses AM/PM notation (e.g., 9:00 AM, 5:30 PM), while 24-hour format uses military time (e.g., 09:00, 17:30). Choose the format you're most comfortable with.
How does the 7-minute rounding rule work?
Times are rounded to the nearest 15-minute interval (quarter hour). 1-7 minutes round down, 8-14 minutes round up. For example, 8:07 becomes 8:00, while 8:08 becomes 8:15.
Will my data be saved?
If you enable "Save data to browser," your entries will persist in browser cookies until you clear them or use the "Clear All Data" button. Data is stored locally and never sent to our servers.
How is overtime calculated?
Overtime is calculated based on the selected rule (FLSA, Canada, or Custom) and threshold. Any hours worked beyond the threshold are counted as overtime. Default is 40 hours per week.
